The One With Amore Sign-Up

Yearp... after much consideration, I decided to give it a GO. For $190, I get to sweat out different kinds of workouts offered at the Eastpoint outlet. I was pretty tempted to sign up for the Unlimited Package for $300+ and also the one with a Personal Trainer programme, $90 for 3 trials. Howzzat? Opinions shared. Intan said, "What if you get lazy OR busy OR can't be bothered to go?" She's right. See how these 12 sessions go. My spirit was high. If we were to bump onto each other that day, you would've felt the watts in me. After work ends at 5, I took a cab down to EP, head straight to Giordano, and got myself a workout attire - their black cottonlycra tee and yogapants suit me just fine. To cover those bulges, I throw in another $30 to buy myself their Hot Pink sweater with hood. I changed straightaway. Yes, the tags were cut off by the salesgirl. Had my rainbow Buff on. I feel ready. I was welcomed by Michelle- the friendly front-desk staff. She assisted me through the signing up, and brought me for a tour in the newly renovated place. Impressive shower rooms and lockers. Today, I am entitled to go for a free trial class, as I was a member 4 years ago. They still have my record. Impressive lagi. And for that, I also received a free armpit hair-removal voucher. Lagi impressivvee. 6pm and I walked into the studio feeling like one of the contestant from The Biggest Loser. The usual me, I smiled and said hi. Everyone seems to be, unfriendly. It was weird silence until this flat-sixpacks lady walked in and take on the stage. Donno what she mumbled thru that microphone, I just followed what she did. It was Lo workout. Okaylah, can take it. Next, Im trying out their Yoga and Pilate. So.... hope to re-sculpt my body like Gwen Stefani's in 3 months. Is that achievable? Betting booths are open now.

The One With Pahang

We just came back from our trip to Pahang. Quick facts:
  1. To beat the 7am restriction, our lil weekend Mazda left home at abt 5.45am. Fetched my in-laws...lalala at the checkpoint... and we were already having breakfast at a coffeeshop in JB around 7.30am. How...ever, my dearest brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew-and-nieces-in-law came at 9am. *gggrrrrr*
  2. Drive up by the "old" road i.e: The pantai timur route. By 3pm, we were at Pekan in Pahang. Went to visit FIL aka Abah's relatives. Along the way, Abah explained his family extensions; who's who, whys, wheres and whens. I am impressed by his powerful memory, considering that he is 80+.
  3. Lil Mazda got hit!!!! We were leaving this 3rd house we visited. Just as the car cruise out the narrow road, suddenly I saw an object flying from my right and hit the car. It gave out a loud wham-bang sound. Dear saw his door's visor broken in pieces. We knew we got hit. We stopped the car, came out and investigate. The whole episode was traumatizing. I mean, what if, our windows were down? Rushda was sleeping at that time. It broke my heart to see Dear's reaction. He was devastated. There's nothing we could do. Don't even think about making police reports. Orang kampung said, the one who hailed the piece of wood could be an addict/hooligan youth/Cambodian immigrants who has a hideout there. I was mad. But Abah was calm and composed. "Syukur pada Allah. Ini semua kudrat dan iradatNya. Kita harus bersyukur yang kita selamat. Jangan salahkan takdir". Dear was upset at that time, and suggested we just head to Kg New Zealand, but Abah has 2 more houses to go...
  4. We visited one Datuk Syamsiah. She is married to the son of Sultan Pahang. She really carries herself like a royalty - with her rings, manicured nails and bedroom slippers, and not forgetting the Persian cat. But her house.... seriously needs a scrub.
  5. We reached kampung at around 11.30pm. At first, I felt very very uncomfortable. Isnt there any hotel around here? Soon, we were all in bed. I got the girls' room. Just me and Rushda. It was cold at around 5am. I heard the roosters crowing and azan from a nearby mosque.
  6. Host was Abah's younger sister- Chu (81yrs) and her husband, Pak Long. Along with them lives their 2 daughters- Kak Kama and Kak Midah. The latter is married to Abang Man, and they have 5 kids. All of them are well-mannered. The girls are friendly while the teenage twin boys and the youngest are quiet and shy.
  7. Abah talked about his past - his dad and ancestors were working for the Pahang King in the 19th century. Very interesting.
  8. Mosquitoes are of acceptable range.
  9. Water supply depends on the main channel for the kampung area. Someone needs to 'pam air', to reach to the taps.
  10. Town is 1.5hours away.

There's more too that of course. The experience of living in that humble home will truly be unforgettable. I want Rushda to enjoy the kampung life as much as Hadi, Hanaa, Eema and Nadhrah did.

The One With Gotong-Royong and SURPRISE!!!!!

Listless, weary, exhausted, worn-out. Just had my shower; tired yet pretty much awake, thus this entree before I retire tonight. We left my workplace at around 10.30pm. Abang Rizal, Anna, Memel and the boys came to keep me company as well as help me out with the class decor. I couldn't have done it with their help. Really. My DEADline is tomorrow. Dear came to help too. He helped me suspend the mobile strings on the ceiling, easiest job for him. Im lucky that he's tall. But he was irky too, especially when he hurried me to complete my work, and tonight was not the first time. I know that he is supportive of my career and job nature, but that patience has weaned off way bit after living together for 2 years now. Nevertheless, Im greatful for everyone's help and support, including mummy who packed us food in tumblers, for like, 20 peeps. Firdaus and Faustine helped with the handprinting and packing up. Anna and Memel helped with the main board, and Rizal bordered the bulletin board for me. Its much nicer now.

Bravo Then Dear started to show sign of restlessness. That kept me on my toes and I was going back and forth, I kept doing that until I thought his attitude sucks. I nagged. After making sure everything was off and locked, I went down to meet him at the car, and...............SURPRISEEE!!!!!!!! His brand new Suzuki Hayabusa is here!!!!!!! There it stood, shiny glossy black. What a virgin. Dear smiled the broadest smile. He was carrying two helmets. So we were going to ride. I was going "wow wow wow! UwwwOWWWWWW".... It was meant to be a surprise for me. I was wrong (sorry Dear). As I am sitting here with Inspiron, Dear is out on his way to JB to fill the virgin up. Already, I am missing FJR. That bike was meant for riding couple like us. FJR came about the time I got pregnant. So, its sentimental to me. Didnt get a chance to tour to Thailand with it. I am learning to understand his desire on motor bikes. And with that, he is commited to a bike, a car, a kid and a wife.

The One with the Broadband

I've been working my ass all week. Finally, the fever and the flu invaded and crushed my immunity. So here I am recovering at home. My first fever since the birth of baby Rushda. That's like, 11 months ago. Not bad ey~ Super Mom. Alhamdulillah. I got 2 days MC. Trick: Cradle baby Rushda in my arms. Dear carries bags of groceries, look disorganized, mention 'working with children in kindergarten', 'don't wish to spread virus'..... it works. *evil grin* It has been busy week at work. Things are not that good out there. The datelines, the people - I'm seeing tribes on strike against the authority, out to make things difficult for me. I can't believe it - my very own loving and caring colleagues, gang-ing up to sabo me. Bloody hypocrites. Well honey, there ain't enough room for that. Someone need to tell them, they can do whatever they like, I'll just be sure that I am the one to Outwit, Outplay and Outcast them. Damn those Ah Lians. Dear brought me to SITEX last weekend, to sign up for the starhub MaxOnline. We got our laptop hooked up, and we've been surfing eversince. The deal includes a Compaq PC. Yayness!! I cant wait. Dear gets his own PC, which means more time for me with my Dell Inspiron of 3 years. Im feeling HAPPY, yes I am. Why?? HAPPY that: 1. Baby Rushda can stand on her own now. Whoohooo. 2. Dear signed up for maxonline. 3. Its PAYDAY!!!! 4. Paid important outstanding bills (ada lagi, sheeessshh). 5. Swept away those habuk collected since January 2005. Alhamdulillah. Allah has given me the strength and opportunity. Updates on my blog knowledge- I've just downloaded Picasa and Hello. Anna showed me blogskin.com. Waiting for the right inspiration to change my blogskin. Nak botox kan sikit.

The One With The Indecent, Obscene Pic.

I was scanning through the digicam, and found loads of unloaded Hari Raya pics, and then I stopped. Oh goodness! Shocked Image 1955... ala Demi Moore. Look at that cleavage, that sexy navel and that pregnant-bump... Make a wiiiiiiiillllllllllllllldddd guess. No prize for correct answer. Geeez. What a sur-leee-pyyyy day. Can barely open my eyes. The kids have been great. Vivien is not sleeping as usual, worrying about her hair. It's only 2pm, and my right boob is engorged. Didnt have the "air-horn" with me today. Gotta wait for Rushda this evening. :) Got a fellow blogger dropping by this blog. Pretty exciting.

The One with the Ticker

Thanks Anna, for sharing about the Ticker and the Tag Board. Anna has her own blog. Its at www.annstory.blogspot.com. Anna is married to my brother. She is a SAHM; so you see, she has all the time in the world to blog her head off. She is quite good with it. I have made a countdown ticker for Baby Rushda. Here it is. STILL learning on how to put it somewhere prominent for all to see. Next... adding tag-board. Lilypie Baby PicLilypie Baby Ticker

Goodbye Ramadhan

"A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went, But no time had I to repent..." It has been a blessed Ramadan. It has been so long since I felt the peace and marvel of fasting. This year is different, perhaps with the presence of Rushda and my beloved husband. Last year was an eventful Ramadan for me too. I was fasting for the full month of Ramadan, and I was in my third trimester. I tawakkal with the fasting, and alhamdulillah, baby was well. Pondering this line from a poem about death and regrets. I wonder if I have done enough to earn the opportunities offered in this chosen month. Don't you? Workloads, caring for my child - are these reasons good enough? Or are they just excuses. And as I wonder, Ramadhan has left. Goodbye Ramadhan.

The One with the dizzy head and sways

I feel DITZY today. What is causing this? Lack of sleep, maybe. Or stress? or the pressure of meeting 'dead'lines?? As I was talking and joking with Juli(et) today, she seems to be swaying alot, and so did the goldfish and the kids in my class. I didn't pay much attention to it at first, bcoz they ARE "movables" after all. It went on until I got up and freshen up. Low blood? Please lah. This body size? Wah, today's puasa is a tough one for me. It doesn't help when Lady Marmalade (aka Janice, principal) says: "Raudha, I need to talk to you about what's coming up next week. Are you on leave this Wed? Oh yah ah you are! Then she continued, " Then okay, before you go today, I need you to prepare this letter for parents... and put up the decor... and please collect lesson plans from all..... MCYS is coming anytime. Cialak big-time", Will that be all, Janice? *'when marimba rhythm starts to sway, dance with me, make me 'sueh'* I have been granted my much-needed annual leaves on the eve and the second day of Raya. Thanks to Lynette. That's good news for Dear, Im pretty sure. BUT... yes, the bad news is, all hell WILL break loose the week after. Ahhhh... I dont want to think about it. What's at the end of the rainbow Raudha? there is a....(?????).... waiting for you. I need understanding, patience, and encouragement. Nothing else.

Entry before the day ends

Sunday's over. The day was well spent. It was just me and Rushda at home. The husband had to work. :( Little Rushda hurt herself while trying to stand on her own. Her chin hit the table, and she landed on her back, hitting her head on the floor. Imagine the voiceless hapless cry... Didnt panic. Told myself this will happen sooner or later, but not until............. I saw blood!! It was her gum. Dab water onto the lips and near the gum playfully, ~voila~ it stops and little Rushhy was puckering her lips and make cute sounds. Bro came for iftar. We had Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis.

Motogp in Turkey. We watch it on Sports channel. Rossi finished second. Thats okay, he still leads in points.

Good night.

Thats Valentino Rossi on his Yamaha. That's Dear on his Yamaha

. And that is ME on Bai Roti's bike!!

Baby blog's Day 2

Today is the second day for baby blog. Not bad... doing pretty well. I've been toggling with the features for the past 1 hour. Logging in and out countless times. Lady Marmalade (aka manager) is not around. Seize the opportunity. Today I'm taking time off from work. Friends are coming over for 'iftar. Need to spunk up some area. Will be using the all new mighty BANG! - a cleaning agent you can find at a store near you. Before I go, would like to add Smiley in this post. Something I've just discovered in 3 minutes. Way to go, ME! Take A Bow Bravo Great Bow Down Wave Ok, that's enough.
